Pros:

  • Unit holds up to 20 courses.  
  • Programs are editable with up to 6 individual points per hole.  This is very simple to do with the Sonocaddie XV2.
  • Distance to critical points in yards or meters.  Distances are all very accurate.
  • Automatic hole advance.
  • 11 GPS channels.
  • Digital scorecard.
  • Shot distance function.  Know exactly how far you hit your clubs.
  • Runs on 3 X AAA batteries with up to 10 hours of battery life.  Rechargeable batteries last a lot longer - about 8 to 10 rounds of golf.
  • Dimensions 4.1" X 2.2" X 1.1"  and weight is 3oz without the batteries.
  • 12 month warranty.
Cons:
  • Is not MAC compatible.
  • Site only supports Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
  • No back lighting.
  • Non rechargeable unit but rechargeable batteries can be used.
  • The shape of the green is not shown.

Conclusion:

The Sonocaddie XV2 is a top notch unit that provides a tremendous amount of features and benefits for any golfer.  Particularly useful for the golfer who plays a variety of courses especially whilst traveling overseas.  You won't go too far wrong with purchasing one of these.
